Barranquilla has a beach, it's called Puerto Mocho, and this is how our people enjoy it!

Live a unique ecotourism experience in this natural treasure that can only be enjoyed in our city: the Caribbean Sea, the Magdalena River and the Mallorquín swamp intertwined in one place like a gift from the earth.

Puerto Mocho is located in the urban area of ​​Barranquilla, in the town of Riomar, in the Las Flores neighborhood. With access through 106th Street, entrance to the neighborhood, towards the western cutwater of the Magdalena River.

The entrance and access to the beach has three options. One is via the train station, which will transport 70 people to the beach on its 2.5 km of railroad track, where motor vehicle is not permitted.

The second option is the bicycle route, and the third way to get there is by walking along the pedestrian path, so that visitors can experience the landscape that offers a view of the Magdalena River on one side and the mangrove ecosystem of the Mallorquín swamp on the other. This path allows transportation such as bicycles, skateboards, inline skates, and the electric motorcycle transportation service.

The train station has a ticket office area, commercial premises, public bathrooms, service and customer service areas, private security and a police station. In addition, there is a parking lot with capacity for 107 vehicles, 4 buses, bicycles and motorcycles, which will cost 13,000 colombian pesos as a single rate.

Likewise, during the opening, there will be additional spaces in Las Flores (Calle 106 No. 90-233, Calle 106 No. 90 243, Calle 106 No. 90 -311/ 107), which will allow for a greater capacity of spaces and parking areas.

Those who decide to get to Puerto Mocho beach on the tourist train should keep in mind that the cars will leave every thirty (30) minutes on both routes (going and coming). The trip between stations is approximately 10 minutes.

Starting on Sunday, December 1, the regular hours of operation of this great tourist attraction on weekends - including holidays - will be from 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. From Tuesday to Friday, the hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. On Mondays, the beach will be closed to promote rest and maintenance of the ecosystem. In case of a holiday, the closing will take place on Tuesday.

With 16 kitchens, points of sale, bathrooms, dining rooms, and all the appropriate infrastructure for attention and services, Puerto Mocho will offer a wide range of local cuisine exposed to the public in a unique menu, through a QR code that will be on the badges that the waiters will wear to display the unification of prices and gastronomic offers.
